• I can not thank you enough! I had an amazing time and not to mention I was in a kayak with two others and a jaguar came right to the shore, no more than 5 meters from us! So amazing! I couldn’t have ended my trip to brazil on a better note! Thanks for being so accommodating and picking me up to get everything sorted before leaving! I know we were a little late! I’ll write a review on trip advisor for you in a day or two, I just arrived in Santa Cruz!

Our trip to the Pantanal was a truly unforgettable experience. We managed to see 4 jaguars in one day which was extremely lucky. The tour was arranged without a problem by Gil who was kind enough to alter the itinerary according to our needs. The guide Fernando was very friendly and experienced and were very knowledgable. The food was great and vegetarian food is very wellcome. The Panatanal is a must do in Brazil – simply amazing!!! FROM Mohini Rao

It was great to meet yourself and Martin and got the feeling from the start you were two stand up guys that we could trust – instead if putting the price up as per usual with bad guides, you gave us a free child’s place. As I was travelling with my family it was great reassurance that I was dealing with a honest man that would be there if we encountered any problems ,Brilliant stuff, your a good man. Hi Gil, we had a fantastic time, what an experience hey. I am so glad we went with the Discovery tour was nice there were only two others on the tour. Very relaxed although all the activities kept us busy. Our guide Luis was fantastic, a very helpful and his English was perfect. He has a brilliant eye for wildlife and we saw many Toucan, Capybara, Caimans, Otter and an amazing amount of birds and stalks….oh and not to forget the JAGUAR. Yes, two times once on the first night boat safari and again the following day. I’ll email some photos soon. in speaking to other travelers who went through other companies, they didn’t see a lot of wildlife and I think being located on the river and doing safaris on the river in a boat is a bonus, just brilliant! We decide to take the three fantastic days with Gil and his crew at Pantanal Discovery while we stayed in the lodge in the Southern pantanal in a very nice double room (with hot shower) and went out on the river every day searching for wildlife in general and jaguars! The guide Paulo was extremely respectful and knowledgeable about the wildlife the area and were always enthusiastic. When watching wildlife it is extremely important to have experts who can not only tell you everything you want to know, but also to have such an ability to spot animals. During our time here it certainly seemed like the Pantanal Discovery guides spotted more wildlife (especially jaguars) than other groups out on the river. You also feel much more part of the Pantanal when staying in the amazing lontra area, going out in small groups. It’s much more than we expected, the whole activities were very well organized and on the first night we spotted the Jaguar what an amazing experience we had. While out on the hike we saw monkeys, anacondas, caiman, porcupine, capybara, tapir, toucans, spoon bill herons, many species of birds, other types of snakes, giant otters, jabiru, and so many more species! We had such an amazing experience. December 2017

Da vi var i Pantanal gjorde vi brug af Pantanal Discovery. Gilberto, som ejer Pantanal Discovery, ydede en fremragende service hele vejen igennem. Vi ankom til lufthavnen i Campo Grande og Gilberto hentede os i sin bil. Dernaest fandt han et billigt hostel beliggende meget centralt i byen. Naeste dag koerte han os hen til bussen der skulle koere os ind i Pantanal. Derudover arrangerede han ogsaa busbilletter fra Pantanal (Buraco das Piranhas) til Bonito (hvor vi skulle hen efter Pantanal) og fra Campo Grande til Iguazu (hvor vi skulle hen efter Bonito). Alt uden problemer! Man kan stole 100% paa Gilberto og Pantanal Discovery. En anden laekker service var, at han fortalte gode tips om Bonito, bl.a. hvilke hostels der er gode, og hvad man skal foretage sig naar man er der. Vi kan helt klart anbefale Pantanal Discovery, naar man overvejer at rejse ind i Pantanal – da de helt enkelt er til at stole paa og yder en fremragende service. We arranged our trip to the Pantanal from the UK via email with Gil who owns the company. He was brilliant. He met us at the airport and gave us lots of information about our tour. We were then picked up by the tour (this was great as we were short of time on our trip and head straight out to the Wet lands from the airport). A super 3 days in the wetlands; horse riding, piranha fishing, night boat safari, trekking, sunset and sunrise excursions (we avoided the swim in the river we’d been fishing for piranha in!!) On the tour we saw loads of wildlife – monkeys, wild pigs, caiman, macaws, and the list goes on….. The accommodation we stayed in was nice, air conditioned, luxury during the 35 degree days and some early starts each day. Food was a self service buffet style and was traditional food for the area – delicious, BEST mash potato ever. Do remember to take some money to buy your drinks as they are not included in the package! The lodge is on a river, which means there is lots of natural wildlife; birds, caiman, etc so don’t forget mosquito spray! After our three days we headed back to Campo Grande for a Friday evening. Gil had already invited us to watch his Samba band play in a local restaurant. I recommend everyone to do this if they are there on an evening when Gil is playing. The bar/restaurant is in a Gallery in Campo Grande. As the only tourists there we were treated to good food – great offer on the Friday special, a fish dish when we were there, lovely local people- everyone was so friendly and welcoming , not to mention amazing dancers, and of course great music from Gil and his band mates! The caipirinha’s weren’t bad either!!! We would recommend this to everyone. We had an early flight out on the Saturday – Gil,who gave us a lift back to our hotel after the night out even came out the next day to pick us up and take us back to the airport to see we got there on time! We from UK had a wicked time with Pantanal Discovery and just to advice, the Pantanal Discovery is no longer associated with Santa Clara as stated in the Lonely Planet Brazil.
The company is going to a great lodge by the river and covering two rivers in the pantanal with variety of wildlife and very well organized tours were provided for the whole group. The company is committed to conservation, the guides have very good knowledge of the region and do not take more than 07 visitors per hike.
In our final conclusion the trip had all the expected ingredients; three days of an unforgettable experience with nature, amazing wildlife, great boat trips, jaguar spotting, piranha fishing, horseback riding, eco lodges, friendly people and good food. Back in Campo Grande we met lots of other visitors with bad reports from other companies in especial the one that uses ecological names.

Nach vielen Erfahrungen, Erlebnissen, Abenteuern mit vielen verschiedenen Menschen in der Pantanal-Region sind wir, seit vegangenem Jahr, mit Pantanal-Discovery unterwegs. – Bis jetzt gibt es keinen Grund wieder zu einer anderen Agentur überzuwechseln. Wir sind zehr zufrieden – weiter so!!!

Hallo Gil! Das Gastehaus war ziemlich gut in Bonito ist wirklich total schön! wir waren mit rädern im parque municipal und tagsdarauf in den Höhlen! Die blaue Lagunenhöhle ist sehr beeindruckend! Die pousada Pantanal Discovery hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen! Krokodile und Fischotter aus nächster Nähe am Zeltplatz sind unglaublich!! Ein weiteres Highlight war die Boat Safari!Wir werden die Zeit hier in guter Erinnerung behalten und freuen uns schon auf den rest unseres Urlaubs! I would highly recommend this tour. The pousada is set in beautiful landscape, the guides are very knowleddgeable and kind. It´s also as Gil mentioned,Eco friendly and into the pantanal”. There is lots of good food. The activities – Fishing for piranas, horseback riding and the boat tour – were great. I just regret not being able to stay longer – do try to have 3 days there in addition to travel time. Visiting the pantanal with Pantanal Discovery is going to stay with me for many years to come. A 4 days tour turned into a 6 days visit which will turn into a life time of great memories. This was not your average “pack the gringos” on a bus tour. It´s prime location meant that the wildlife is on your door step & the warmth of the whole crew made it a genuine farm experience. From speaking with other travelers, the reputation of some of the tour companies & guides choosing a company a trick task, but from the second we met Gil in Campo Grande my mind was put at ease. So in conclusion a huge thank you to all your crew, for making me fell so at home here & you can be sure that I will be recommending Pantanal Discovery to all on the remainder of my trip to pantanal. Hej alle sammen! vi er lige kommet tilbage fra Discovery – tour i Pantanal, og det var fedt! Gil er en god chef, og man kan virkelig stole pÃ¥ ham, og han sørger for, at du har en god tur .. Eksempel: Glemte Mette sin badedragt I Campo Grande og Gil sendte badedragt til os pÃ¥ samme dag. Campen inde i Pantanal er god dobbetvarelser med bad dag ikke luksus. Der, serveres god mad, og de ansatte er venlige. Guiden Marcello francelino er god, han taler rigtit godt engelsk og er meget snaksalig. Gils Discovery tur er ikke den billigste selskab i byen, men kan helt sikkert anbefales. Med dem er I garenteret en god tur med en masse dyr. Mette og Lasse pantanal campen

Hej Hopp! Vi hade verkligen tur resa i Pantanal och Facenda Pantanal Discovery. Den största intäkterna var verkligen upplevelsen av naturen med alla djur, men om du bara vill koppla detta är också möjlig. Platsen är mycket vanligt, Guiderna var kunniga och väl organiserade turer för att se alla typer av Cayman, apor, bältdjur kan du se massor av vackra saker som Tucanes, ibis, arapapegojor och kungsfiskare. förutsatt att inte allt för adrenalinfylld, kommer det inte att ångra det turné vill vi rikta ett stort tack Gil arrangören som höll era löften också gör alla det lilla extra som gör denna resa oförglömlig Njut!
