Getting there

How do I get to the Pantanal?

Our Pantanal tours depart daily from Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul (reachable by plane or long-distance bus), and from Bonito. Transfers to the Pantanal are included in every tour. Send us your arrival details when you book so we can plan your pick-up.

I’m coming from Iguaçu Falls. What do you recommend?

Come to Campo Grande first: from here we can organise the Pantanal and help you plan Bonito and Corumbá. Avoid booking Pantanal tours in Foz do Iguaçu — book directly with us so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

What time do tours start?

All Pantanal tours depart daily from Campo Grande and Bonito. The Pantanal Jungle Lodge Tour leaves Campo Grande at 8:30 AM; for the other tours we confirm the pick-up time with your booking. The Bonito tour has its own schedule. If you arrive in Campo Grande after 9:00 AM and want to start the same day, or have a flight to catch on the last day, we recommend adding a private transfer.

Can I combine the Pantanal with Bonito?

Yes. Our Pantanal tours can drop you off in Bonito, and the Bonito tour can start straight from the Pantanal. Tell us your plans and we’ll connect the dates.

On the tour

Is transport included?

Yes. Shared transfers between Campo Grande and the Pantanal are included, with drop-off options in Bonito on most tours. A private transfer can be added when booking.

Which meals are included?

The 4-day Pantanal tours include 9 meals and the Wildlife Discovery Top Tour includes 13. The Bonito tour includes 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches. Drinks are not included (mineral water is provided on the Farm, Jungle Lodge and Top tours).

Do you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, vegetarian and vegan food is catered for. Please tell us about any diet or allergy when you book.

What are the accommodation options?

Depending on the tour you can choose a shared dormitory, a private room for two or more people travelling together, or a single room. All prices are per person. The Bonito tour uses private rooms only.

Will I see a jaguar?

We can’t promise it: jaguars and all other animals live freely in their natural habitat. Our tours are designed around the places and times with good chances of wildlife, especially the river safaris on the Jaguar Tour and the Wildlife Discovery Top Tour.

What should I bring?

Our past guests recommend plenty of insect repellent, a sun hat, long trousers and some cash for drinks, which are not included.

When is the best time to visit?

The Pantanal can be visited all year round. The dry season (April to September) concentrates animals around the remaining water; the driest months offer the best chances of spotting jaguars, and June to October is excellent for birds. The rainy season (December to March) floods the plains — a spectacular natural phenomenon. More about the seasons.

Booking & payment

How do I book?

Choose your tour and open our booking system, where you fill in your travellers’ details. You can also message us on WhatsApp first if you have any questions.

How much is the deposit?

A 30% deposit paid by bank transfer secures your reservation.

What about the remaining balance and cancellations?

Payment of the balance and our cancellation conditions are confirmed together with your booking. Please ask us on WhatsApp or by e-mail before you book if you need them in advance.

Are prices per person?

Yes. All prices are per person, in Brazilian reais (R$), and depend on the room type you choose.

Someone at the bus station says they work for Pantanal Discovery. Should I trust them?

Please don’t. Over the years, people at the Campo Grande bus terminal have pretended to represent us. Book only through this website, our booking system or our official WhatsApp numbers (+55 67 99323-1000 and +55 67 99163-3518).
